I just wanted to pass on to you how pleased we’ve been with the service Leona has given us over the past few months, recently culminating in securing Kate Webster’s placement with us. I had discussed with Leona that we were looking to boost the activity and energy levels within our existing Sales Team; Kate has done just that. She has been a fantastic addition to the team and within two weeks of starting, has already made two placements.

We’ve not had much luck working with other Rec-to-Recs in the past, but Leona has really stood out in making the effort to understand our culture and we genuinely feel like she’s working hard to find people for us.

As we both know all too well, people are always quick to criticise Recruiters when they’re not performing, so I thought it only right that we commend them when they do.

Just a quick note to say thank you for all your help over the past year in getting me settled here in Sydney - without your determined assistance I'd still be stuck in dreary England, so I am eternally grateful to you!

Joking apart, I was very impressed with the service I have had from you and Caroline. From our initial meeting in London to my settling in to Hamilton James & Bruce here in Sydney you exceeded my expectations in terms of service and professionalism, doing everything you said you would and more.

When I arrived in Sydney for interviews last year you did exactly what you said you would do, and had 6 opportunities lined up for me. Please accept this letter as a personal thank-you to both you and your organisations recent assistance in the opening our Sydney office, although it represents the twenty fourth Beresford Blake Thomas office globally it is our second Australian office and fifth in the Southern hemisphere.

Coming from the UK to open Sydney I found sourcing the right type of individual as like most places in the world challenging. Finding individuals, let alone two at once, that possess the correct local and industry knowledge to kick off a business whilst at the same time representing the particular cultural fit that we feel makes a BBT consultant a cut above the rest is far from easy.

Covering two very disparate sector's such as Technical and Professional as well as Health and Social Care just adds to the complexity of the task. It is therefore refreshing as well as a testament to the service you have provided that despite following several avenues Scott recruitment was able to fill both our vacancies.

Therefore having a significant input in our journey to becoming a truly national operator within Australia.

Angie and I met Rosemary Scott in London in late Sep 05, where we discussed opportunities in Oz.  By this time we were already scheduled to fly out at the end of the month, to Australia to see friends and speculatively present ourselves to recruitment consultancies, and NZ to attend pre arranged interviews.

To be totally honest we were sceptical and didn't think Rosemary would be able to help at this late stage, but thought what the hell if nothing else it will give us another perspective and some information on the market in OZ. (hey recruitment is all about market knowledge).

Boy how wrong were we?! When the "Rosemary Scott machine" gets going hold on to your hat! Within three days of meeting Rosemary we had several client interviews lined up, followed by another 4 before we touched down in OZ just 10 days later.

The interviews were all in relevant industry sectors - in Angie's case Scientific/Pharmaceutical and Engineering in mine, the clients ranged from the standard KPI driven UK model right through to specialist search and selection, every one was exactly how Rosemary had described them.
The whole process was managed with military precision between Rosemary (from 14000+ miles away) and her phenomenal office staff here in Sydney, yes I did say here in Sydney. Angie and I have been here since Dec 9th 05 and love it.

In the end it was a struggle to decide which of the offers to accept; I ended up choosing the specialist search and selection consultancy, where I am extremely happy and my wife chose a specialist pharmaceutical services provider and she is equally as happy.

Massive thanks to Rosemary and her team for their amazing work. If there is rec to rec organisation that delivers it's Scott Recruitment.

Incidentally we liked our prospective new companies so much as well as falling in love with Sydney, that we cancelled our trip to NZ including the interviews.

BTW Angie has 8 years recruitment experience and I have just 2 years in engineering. We should have done this years ago!
